Send Obama a Bill

In President Obama’s State of the Union address of January 24, 2012 he repeatedly asked Congress to send him a “bill”:

Send me a bill” that bans insider trading by members of Congress; I will sign it tomorrow.

“Tear down regulations that prevent aspiring entrepreneurs from getting the financing to grow.  Expand tax relief to small businesses that are raising wages and creating good jobs. Both parties agree on these ideas. So put them in a bill, and get it on my desk this year.”

“Help manufacturers eliminate energy waste in their factories and give businesses incentives to upgrade their buildings. Their energy bills will be $100 billion lower over the next decade, and America will have less pollution, more manufacturing, more jobs for construction workers who need them. Send me a bill that creates these jobs.”

Two other times in the speech he asked for a “bill”, without using the word “bill”:

“It is time to stop rewarding businesses that ship jobs overseas, and start rewarding companies that create jobs right here in America. Send me these tax reforms, and I will sign them right away.”

“But if election-year politics keeps Congress from acting on a comprehensive plan, let’s at least agree to stop expelling responsible young people who want to staff our labs, start new businesses, defend this country. Send me a law that gives them the chance to earn their citizenship. I will sign it right away.”

Congress, before sending Obama bills that he wants, WE THE PEOPLE want to send the President a bill for the following:

  1. Cost of vacations, including travel, in excess of the average vacation travel of the last three Presidents.
  2.  Additional costs resulting from the President and First Lady taking separate planes to the same location.
  3. All costs associated with 90+ rounds of golf.
  4. Cost of trip to NYC for anniversary.
  5. Cost of the increase in health insurance of all Americans in 2012.
  6. Cost of the two black buses purchased for the President’s bus tour.
  7. Cost of the entire black bus campaign tour.
  8. Cost of all trips that included a campaign stop and/or fundraiser.
  9. Cost of trip to Copenhagen to attempt to bring Winter Olympics to Chicago.
  10. Cost of all “Hollywood” parties at the White House.
  11. Cost of flying in a personal trainer week after week.
  12. Cost of all Czars.
  13. Cost of 18 of Michelle’s 22 personal assistants.
  14. Increase in the deficit during the time the government has operated without a budget.

Mr. President, please include with your payment a copy of your original birth certificate, your college transcripts and an explanation for your Connecticut social security number.  Payment is due in 30 days.
